Domain Name Registration

You essentially need to have two things for a website: a hosting package, and a registered domain name. These two aspects work separately from each other. You can have your domain name hosted at one place and your website hosted at another. It is however simplest to keep the two together.

If you need to register a new domain name, or if you would like to transfer an existing domain to us, we offer domain name hosting and registration through Superb Registar. To do a transfer, click on "Transfer Domain" at Superb Registrar. These normally take between 5 and 10 business days.

We can host any domain name (InterNIC domains - .com, .net, and .org; and all Non-InterNIC domains - such as .edu, .gov, .cc, .to, .ws, .md, .de, .ca, .us, .uk, .lv, .ee, .it, etc.) We do not support foreign domain registrations, except for: WS, TO, CC, CO.UK, ORG.UK, CO.IL, ORG.IL, CO.NZ, NET.NZ, LT, LY, TF, KZ, AC, SH, AS, TC, CO.ZA, COM.RO, RO, GS, FM, DK, MD, KY, MS, VG, CX.

If you do have your domain name registered elsewhere and you do not wish to transfer it to Superb Registrar, then you will need to set the DNS servers for your domain at your registrar. This is usually done online through your account at the registrar. Set the DNS servers as follows:

primary: ns1.superb.net (207.228.225.5)
secondary: ns3.superb.net (207.228.226.5)

Some registrar's need the IP address and some do not. After setting the DNS servers, you should allow between 2 and 48 hours for the change to propagate throughout the internet's domain name system, before your domain name will point to your site hosted on our servers for everyone on the internet.
