Verification Email

In accordance with ICANN regulations, SuperbRegistrar does not send a verification email for transfers away to another registrar. Responsibility for registrant verification and notification of transfer lies with the gaining registrar, thus it is their responsibility to verify the request. The process of transferring domains between registrars is an automated process, thus once verification has been made to the gaining registrar, no further action is required by you or by SuperbRegistrar for the transfer to complete successfully.

Lock removal, authorization key and tag change requests will be accepted from only the registrant or administrative contact(s) for the domain. We will not provide this information to anyone other than the legal owner(s) of the domain(s).

However, for .com and .net domains being transferred away from SuperbRegistrar, an email will be sent to the registrant and administrative contacts for the domain as notification that a transfer request has been made and verified by the gaining registrar. At this time, the domain has been moved to Pending Transfer status. Domains transferring away from SuperbRegistrar are automatically released, as per ICANN regulations, 5 days from the date the domain was sent into Pending Transfer status.

Because only the registrant and/or administrative contacts have legal rights to make decisions regarding changes or transfer of a domain name, notifications of this manner are sent solely to these contacts. Thus, SuperbRegistrar does not send a copy to the account holder or any other domain contacts such as billing or technical, etc.

What if you change your Email Address?

If you submitted a transfer order, and the email generated for that transfer verification was sent to an address that is not correct or current due to recent WHOIS updates, you will need to cancel the current request and create a new transfer order for the domain(s).

Per ICANN regulations, the gaining registrar is required to record the WHOIS as listed by the registrar of record at the time of transfer submission. The transfer must be verified by either the registrant or administrative contact(s) as recorded at that time. Consequently, we cannot resend the transfer verification email to any other address.

If you have not already done so, please contact the current registrar and update your contact information. Once the WHOIS has been updated, you can login to your account and create a new transfer order.

NOTE: SuperbRegistrar does not charge for cancelled or failed transfer requests.
