Traffic refers to the flow, movement, and transfer of data around the internet. This term includes the concept of web traffic which refers to the amount of data that is sent and received to various websites over the World Wide Web. Web traffic is determined by the number of visitors to a site as well as the number of pages they visit and the length of time they spend there. Companies can monitor web traffic and find out which parts of their page are the most popular or whether or not there are any apparent trends in the market. Web traffic also determines the amount of bandwidth a site requires.
