Software Install Requests

To request a program version update, please send a request using your myCP® Control Panel with:
- the software name
- the current version on our server
- the server you are on and the path(s) to the current program install there
- the newest version (to which you would like to have it upgraded)
- why you feel this software update is important/why is it necessary
- where we can obtain it (an FTP site or a web page with download links)
We will regularly update all of the installed main software to the next significant version, but feel free to remind us using the method described above. Minor version upgrades need clear explanations as to why it should be done (eg. from 2.0b2 to 2.0b4 - why is it so significant, not just to you, but other users as well).
To request a new program installation, please send a request to the myCP with:
- the software name and version
- URL where we can obtain it (an FTP or web page with download links)
- official URL where we can obtain further details about it
- why should we consider installing it (what benefit is it to you and other users?)
If the program is freeware and you can prove that it is worthy to be installed on our servers, it will be done.
If the program is commercial and we do not feel that all of the customers would benefit from it, we will ask you to purchase it and install it on your own if you desire to use it. If it requires root or administrator privilege to install so that only you can use it, we will assist you if you are able to provide us the necessary install/configuration details.
If the program is commercial and we are considering it, we will ask for other user feedback and if the program is popularly requested, we will purchase and install it server-wide.
