This article is an introduction to our Server Monitoring services and is a supplement to the article titled Setting Up Server Monitoring.

Port Monitoring

The port monitoring service allows dedicated server customers to configure our systems to monitor their server and its ports. The customer is responsible for the configuration of their monitoring services. Once configured, any alerts generated by the system will be sent to the customer and it will be up to the customer to take appropriate action.

Enhanced Port Monitoring

The enhanced port monitoring service provides customers with a higher level of monitoring. After the initial set-up, our systems will monitor the customers’ servers and ports. Should one of the services fail, a support ticket will be generated if auto-ticket is enabled (auto-ticketing is not available with free monitors). Customers wishing to add enhanced monitoring must sign up for this service via the order form at time of order or via myCP for existing servers.
