Installing a PHP Extension

If you would like to install a PHP extension through cPanel to include other modules (like GD, gettext, cURL etc) and rebuild Apache, please do the following:

1. Login to the WHM as root (https://ip.ad.dre.ss:2087/).
2. Under the Software section on the left hand menu click Update Apache.
3. Select all modules under PHP Module (Version x.x.x) you wish to install by checking the boxes next to each one.
4. Click the Build button above the list.
5. Watch cPanel download, unpack and rebuild all of the additional modules you've selected as well as Apache itself (can take quite a while, typically up to 20 minutes).
6. After the build is successful, you will notice that Apache has restarted (cPanel will state: httpd started ok).
7. Done.
