The EMT64 is now known as Intel 64 and it is Intel's version of x86-64. It is used in the most recent versions of Pentium 4, Pentium D, Pentium Extreme Edition, Celeron D, Xeon, and Pentium Dual-Core processors, and in all versions of the Core 2 processors.

x86-64 is a 64-bit superset of the x86 instruction set architecture. As a result of the x86-64 instruction set being a superset of the x86 instruction set, all instructions in the x86 instruction set can be carried out by central processing units (CPUs) that implement the x86-64 instruction set; therefore those CPUs can natively run programs that run on x86 processors from Intel, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) as well as other vendors.
