Haralds Jass
President & CEO

Haralds Jass is the President, Founder and CEO of Superb Internet and takes an active role in all aspects of company operations.

Prior to founding Superb Internet in 1996, he created and operated an online interactive entertainment venture named Superb Entertainment (1994 - 1996), the lack of hosting infrastructure for which led to the launch of Superb Internet.

Haralds is a continuous pursuer of perfection, as reflected not only in the company name - Superb Internet - but also in Superb's total focus on customer care and quality of service, and in the company motto, "Ahead of the Rest."®

A native of Latvia, Haralds has studied Economics and European Intellectual History at the University of British Columbia.

Curtis R. Curtis
Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Curtis has been with Superb Internet since 2000, leading the Company in their sales & marketing efforts in his role as Sr. VP of Sales & Marketing.

As a sixteen-year veteran of the Internet and co-founder of one of the industry's first ISPs, Curtis brings a vast array of industry experience to Superb. He is a senior executive with over 20 years of successful technology management experience, whose extensive expertise includes strategic market planning, business & product development, customer service and sales management. It is Curtis' dedication to the customer; his unwavering, passionate demand that the customer is absolutely No. 1 where he truly excels.

Since 1990, Curtis has been involved in the evolution of the Internet working first as a consultant with both the Federal and Provincial government, then in 1993, moving on to the startup and management of Helix Internet. After facilitating the sale of Helix Internet to Norsat Int'l in 1996, he then was engaged as Managing Director of BridgeLinks Technologies, working with such companies as BCTel (Telus), Rogers, Sprint, GroupTelecom and other telecommunication companies in developing their online technologies.

Curtis holds a Bachelor's degree Business Administration from the University of Alberta, a Bachelor's degree in Economics & Computer Programming from the University of Manitoba and did his Post Graduate work in Marketing and Business Law at the University of Calgary.

Tom Samplonius
Vice President of Technology

Tom is an accomplished Internet technology professional with 14 years of experience in the Internet access and hosting industry.

In his role as Vice President of Technology, he is the principal architect for the development and improvement of hosting services as well as overseeing support systems at Superb Internet. Prior to joining Superb Internet, Tom was VP of Technology Uniserve Communications, where he designed and maintained systems for broad and narrow band internet access as well as development of a variety of application services.

Tom believes that technology needs to be shaped into tangible, user-friendly solutions for the customer, especially in the hosting space. He fervently maintains that value innovation focused on the customer supersedes technology innovation for the sake of technology.

He is a graduate of the Math and Computer Science program at Trinity Western University. He continues to develop and grow his technology expertise through participation in a variety of technology user groups.

In his spare time, Tom enjoys reading, hiking, badminton, travel and is currently learning to speak Mandarin.

Alex Laguardia
Chief Financial Officer

Alex joined Superb Internet in 2002 as a Billing Coordinator, and in a few years has advanced quickly to an upper management position as CFO.

With a Bachelor degree in accounting from Instituto Politecnico Nacional in Mexico and also having studied Communications Studies at the University of Colorado, Alex has over a decade of experience in Finance and Administration departments in the high-tech industry, including Seagate Software (now Business Objects) in Vancouver and Grupo ITS in Mexico City.

Alex is in charge of several departments within the company such as Billing and Accounts Receivables, Finance and Administration, Human Resources and also serving as SuperbHosting.net Service Manager.

In his free time, Alex races downhill mountain bikes and has participated in two World Championships and a number of national and international races.

Ken Nunes
Director of Dedicated Services

Since 1999, Ken Nunes has played an instrumental role in providing superior service to Superb's clientele. In his current role, Ken is responsible for overseeing managed dedicated services and ensuring a consistently high quality of service.

From 1996 to 1999, Ken was a senior Service Manager with Rogers Communications. While at Rogers, he filled a number of service roles integral to the company's customer service success. Prior to joining RCI, Ken was with such companies as the TDL Group and PepsiCo in various management roles.

Ken graduated in 1987 from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He continues to further his understanding of the Internet through ongoing seminars and classes offered by both private and public education facilities. Ken is active with several local business groups and enjoys teaching others about the Internet and how it can help achieve additional revenue streams.

Elya McCleave
Director of Technical Support & Customer Care

Elya brings to the team over 7 years of excellence in serving Superb Internet clients. Starting at front line support, Elya has gained valuable experience and skills to move up to the current position that manages the global customer service and technical support teams.

She now plays a key role in keeping our clients happy and operations running smoothly. Elya is committed to excellence in everything she does. She is advancing her knowledgebase and has recently completed numerous courses at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Elya also holds a degree in Civil Engineering, as well as numerous certificates in the IT field.

Elya has been actively involved in training the staff and maintaining and perfecting the high level of customer service that Superb Internet is so well known for.

Bill Gorman
Director of Business Development

An experienced business strategist with strong sales management skills, Bill is a solid team builder. Bill is a natural innovator who believes that every customer's needs are different and is an expert at customizing solutions and fostering long-term business relationships.

With over 15 years successful sales management experience with major technology and Internet companies, Bill has a passion for helping clients succeed.

Bill believes in leading by example, and brought his "can-do" approach to the Superb Internet team in 2002.
