Haralds Jass - President & CEO

President & CEO

Haralds Jass is the President, Founder and CEO of Superb Internet and takes an active role in all aspects of company operations.

Prior to founding Superb Internet in 1996, he created and operated an online interactive entertainment venture named Superb Entertainment (1994 - 1996), the lack of hosting infrastructure for which led to the launch of Superb Internet.

Haralds is a continuous pursuer of perfection, as reflected not only in the company name - Superb Internet - but also in Superb's total focus on customer care and quality of service, and in the company motto, "Ahead of the Rest."®

A native of Latvia, Haralds has studied Economics and European Intellectual History at the University of British Columbia.

 
Alex Laguardia - Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Alex joined Superb Internet in 2002 as a Billing Coordinator, and in a few years has advanced quickly to an upper management position as CFO.

With a Bachelor degree in accounting from Instituto Politecnico Nacional in Mexico and also having studied Communications Studies at the University of Colorado, Alex has over a decade of experience in Finance and Administration departments in the high-tech industry, including Seagate Software (now Business Objects) in Vancouver and Grupo ITS in Mexico City.

Alex is in charge of several departments within the company such as Billing and Accounts Receivables, Finance and Administration, Human Resources and also serving as SuperbHosting.net Service Manager.

In his free time, Alex races downhill mountain bikes and has participated in two World Championships and a number of national and international races.

 
Elya McCleave - Director of Technical Support & Customer Care

Vice President of Customer Care

Elya brings to the team over 8 years of excellence in serving Superb Internet clients. Starting at front line support, she has gained valuable experience and skills to move up to her current position that leads all aspects of Superb's external and internal support and customer service related operations.

Elya has extensive experience in technical support and customer service quality assurance, call center management, project management, as well as technical coaching and staff development. She is committed to excellence in everything she does. Elya holds a degree in Civil Engineering, a Diploma of Technology Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, as well as numerous certificates in the IT field.

In her spare time Elya competes in fitness contests at the national level, practices martial arts and enjoys a good book.

 
Ken Nunes - Director of Dedicated Services

Since 1999, Ken Nunes has played an instrumental role in providing superior service to Superb's clientele. In his current role, Ken is responsible for overseeing managed dedicated services and ensuring a consistently high quality of service.

From 1996 to 1999, Ken was a senior Service Manager with Rogers Communications. While at Rogers, he filled a number of service roles integral to the company's customer service success. Prior to joining RCI, Ken was with such companies as the TDL Group and PepsiCo in various management roles.

Ken graduated in 1987 from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He continues to further his understanding of the Internet through ongoing seminars and classes offered by both private and public education facilities. Ken is active with several local business groups and enjoys teaching others about the Internet and how it can help achieve additional revenue streams.

 
Matthew Putegnant - Director of Development

In his position as Director of Development, Matthew leads the Superb Internet Development team and is responsible for all phases of the software development activity, including business process modeling, requirements, analysis and design, implementation, testing, configuration and change management, and deployment.

Matthew has been involved in software development for over 20 years, providing enterprise solutions for small engineering firms and large telecommunications & Internet companies. Working as a lead technical consultant, he has led numerous projects to their successful completion utilizing various development tools, languages, and methodologies. Matthew is well versed in the entire Software Development Life Cycle and brings to his team broad experience and understanding.

 
Jason Wong - Director of Human Resources

Jason Wong joined the Superb Internet team in 2008, due to the rapidly increasing Human Resources needs in the fast-growing global company.

Jason's proven solid management skills take root in his previous positions in real estate, finance, banking, computing and human resource sectors. Among other things, Jason has managed HR departments and web development projects, as well as handled countless large real estate transactions.

"Be quiet and listen" is Jason's motto towards people management. Jason believes that a genuine open door policy is the best tool to achieve harmony amongst staff.

Jason completed his BA major in Economics and Liberal Arts at Simon Fraser University and later obtained his MBA with concentrations in Human Resource Management and Negotiation at Heriot-Watt University.

 
Dale Bunten - Director of Sales & Marketing

Director of Sales & Marketing

Dale Bunten is responsible for Superb Internet's global sales and marketing activities, having joined the team in 2008. His directive is to drive sales, build brand awareness, and increase web site traffic through various online and offline mediums, including search engine optimization, pay-per-click advertising, web site and content development, PR and tradeshows, and new product development.

Dale has 9 years of prior web hosting experience, serving as Director of Marketing for Canada Web Hosting, holding the role of Marketing Manager and Dedicated Sales and Product Manager at Hostway Corporation in Chicago, as well as Sales and Marketing Manager for Vancouver based NetNation Communications Inc.

Dale holds a Bachelor of Commerce from RoyalRoads University, and a Diploma of Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He sits on the BCIT Academic advisory board, and is an accomplished public speaker on various Internet marketing related topics.

 
Patrick Ahler - Director of Business Development / Operations Manager

Director of Business Development / Operations Manager

Patrick Ahler is holding a dual role with Superb Internet: handling local business development in Hawaii and managing operations for the corporate office.

Patrick has 12 years of advanced technical experience primarily in the field of systems administration and web technologies and accordingly acquired his university degree in these areas. Through a series of successful projects and leadership roles he has also developed a passion for business and understands what it takes to make a business succeed.

In his spare time, Patrick enjoys surfing waves in Hawaii and the ongoing pursuit of knowledge by reading non-fiction books.
